Not everything I’m going to write this month is a chapter. Sometimes I’ll write and finish a whole piece in a day! Novel idea, huh?
Phe Gets a Puppy – This is a stand alone piece for the most part. I do an online RP forum and I was running a story line that recently died. Instead of scrapping everything, I decided to write out the end of that arc for my character for today’s Story a Day post. And no, this is not based off of The Lightning Thief. In this piece, Phe comes face to face with her father – who is a god. He cannot tell her outright that she is his daughter but he can hint at it, and in proper father fashion – he comes bringing gifts! (note: that is not a dig made at fathers, some of my best childhood memories are of my father coming home – with presents!)
Space Particle – Is a sci-fi stand alone that needs some polishing and then I think I’ve really got something here! This is the story of Special Officer Alex Cassavonia, sister to the divine Queen Isabelle and champion of her planet. During a space battle her ship is captured and to avoid being discovered, disguises herself as a civilian. Faced with fending for herself in the brig or accepting the Boudoux’s offer of protection, Alex jumps from the frying pan and into the fire. To maintain her disguise she becomes her enemies lover, and in the process loses part of herself to him, forever.
Jumping Ship – Christie feels like she’s the odd girl out in her group of friends. Not as pretty, a little over weight and sort of shy, she’s always been the wallflower. When Amy’s larger-than-life wedding is finally over, Christie feels the immediate need to get away and during an extended weekend in Florida, she meets JD. Three days turns into three weeks and now her friends and family are worried; where has Christie disappeared to?
Cats drink milk. – Inspired by a true story of falsifying an identity to get a girlfriend, Cats drink milk is one man’s worst nightmare: the truth.
The material of nightmares. – The product of my nightmares. Seriously. Based off of a dream I had, characters, setting and voice are changed. What would your thoughts be if someone were out to kill you?

Going Home – Te’llanna is one of a few people to be named a Dragon Speaker. Her peculiar ability and affinity for dragons sent her away at the age of fourteen to learn from a distant tribe of people who have the only other Dragon Speaker; her teacher forced her to marry him and now four years later she has the chance to choose.
Small Magic – What if a child woke up one day and could do magic? Years of watching cartoons and movies have warped one child’s mind so that she creates a set of rules for her magic and what she learns to appreciate are the small things.
Lady of the Lorries – Have you ever had a bad day? Well what if what caused your worst day imaginable was stuck with you for a full year. Jeanette’s new roommate claims to be a goddess, or a princess or something and Jeanette knows Lorrie is completely crazy, but no matter how crazy she is, Jeanette cannot deny that – things – happen around Lorrie. The only way Jeanette can be rid of her horrible roommate is to help her with her challenge, but will this be too much to handle?
The Stranger – When two celestial beings want free of their eternal prison, one of them makes a bet with the West Wind. When the West Wind loses, he must aid one of them in a journey to find freedom and the woman who haunts his dreams. Inhabiting the Santa Anna winds, they journey the rough western landscape where a lone cowboy might easily blend in.
Ab-solutely – Dallas is paranoid her past will come back to bite her. Cai literally needs to bite someone, and the only person he wants to bite is the person he shouldn’t. The opening scene for what is quickly turning into a novella (close to 10K and still rolling), both Dallas and Cai have something to lose and something to gain, but will it be each other?
Fairy Men – Jaid and Ami are humans with the Talent for magic. Recruited in their senior year of high school to study at an exclusive prep school for humans with Fae Talents, they meet Iain and Cayden who at the end of term take them on as their personal students. Only, Iain and Ami clearly are enamored with one another. Jaid and Cayden’s relationship is difficult, but it’s clear to each of them a link exists between their souls despite being two different races. When Iain and Cayden are taken prisoner by the Dark Fae, Jaid and Ami are faced with the reality, as written in their own hand. Given letters their future selves wrote to them in the past, they learn the rocky road they must travel to become the fully Fae and human so they can save not only the men they love, but everything they have come to care about.
Decoy - Alana Pierce had dreams of theatrical greatness, but after her parents wound up as the main course for a herd of zombies, she has to fend for herself. After having to withdraw from school she’s making her way as a freelance bodyguard. Now if only this job didn’t mean she invited her own death to play poker every day.
