This is a Middle-Grade Fantasy I’m writing during Story A Day month. I didn’t realize I was writing chapters until, well, today! I figured it would be helpful if I linked the chapters in a single place.
Synopsis
Fia is a scullery maid in the palace of the Royals. A lowly peasant, she doesn’t have the education or money to qualify her for the prestigious magic school, but she has the talent.
Stiig is returning from a winter spent defending the mountain villages from barbarians.
Prince Baard is slowly being strangled by boredom by his servants, who all fear he will suffer a great tragedy before he takes the throne as king. But his kingdom is in danger from a mysterious man who appears in the castle and takes the Royals hostage and throws the city into turmoil.
Can a scullery maid and a warrior save a prince who does not want to be saved? Can they rescue their country and set things to rights?
