For 2011 Story a Day, I’m creating graphic prompts. How do you use them? Easy! I’ll use the prompt going live for May 1st as an example.
Using the prompt picture, brainstorm an idea with the elements you see. So to the right you have two girls cosplaying as Star Trek girls, one is a Vulcan. Behind them is a half naked man with some sort of silvery space thing. They have a backdrop of space. You don’t have to take this picture literally as your characters and setting. Your setting could be a virtual world for all I know!
Once you have a story idea – write it! The only catch is that somewhere in the story, use the line in the picture…
They said it couldn’t be done…
