May this year is going to be an incredibly busy month for me.  I’m leading a boot camp, I’m taking three classes, the 80 day writing challenge covers May, and there’s also Story a Day going on.  That’s a lot of stuff!  I plan on participating, but I doubt I will be as active as I was last year.  It’s disappointing, but I can admit – I’m a busy person.

But, I do have an idea, a challenge if you will.  For fun I’ve been making cover mock-ups.  While teaching how I make mine, I had this idea – what if I created graphic prompts?  When I was in Jr High my favorite teacher had us write stories using this book of picture prompts.  Each one had a snippet of a sentence or an object under the picture that was incorporated into the story.  I loved these.  Everyone else wrote up a quick story – I wrote pages and pages and pages and… you get the idea.

So, from now until the kick off of Story a Day I’m going to be hard at work making some prompts to post.  If I can learn how between now and then I want to learn how to make proper ebooks and see about actually having contests and compiling the winners into an ebook, each with their own ‘cover’ in the book, which would be the prompt cover with a title and author on it instead of a prompt.
