Last May didn’t work out for me but I’m excited to give the challenge another shot.
I’m still trying to decide how I want to structure my stories:
- free for all? following prompts willy-nilly
- short interconnected stories that I can later expand into a longer/short story or novella
- use it to world build and get to know characters in novel (I think this is cheating but is really tempting me)
I looked back at my stories from the past two May’s and found that I had a few gems (even a smaller few that I’ve submitted)!
Goals for May
To write at least 5 days a week (ie- give myself padding for finals & such)
To blog at least 5 days a week (ie- get back into the blogging flow)
To put all my stories in the same place (ie- ORGANIZE)
Where I’ll be
I’ll be updating my blog here and posting in the forums but will probably be hanging out on Google+ too. It really helped me stay focused during NaNoWriMo last year. Here’s my G+ profile plus my About.me page where you can find me elsewhere online.
What about you?
Are you doing StoryADay this May? Check out The Rules (they aren’t hard so relax!).
