I’m doooo-oone!!! Took me forever. I’m pretty sure I used to write faster than this. x.X But no matter, it turned out quite how I imagined it, but um, I’m not really sure what I meant to achieve or… well, read it and see? 0:-)

Oh, thank you very much for reading and commenting. :D I just felt like with a beginning like ‘count to ten’, there needed to be some impact for ten. And hehe, number six was very fun to write, I’m glad you like it. Thanks again for the feedback, have an internet cookie for your troubles! *passes it through the screen* My ego, er, I mean,…[Read more]

That was like reading ten short stories. I want to know more about all of the different characters (except maybe the red carpet lady since I don’t think I’d like her!). Look forward to reading more!

Thank you for reading and the feedback! :D And the celebrity wasn’t meant to be a likable character exactly, more to be pitied for what she values in life but I was afraid of making each character’s story /too/ long *you’ll notice that towards the end, each snippet gets a little bit longer* so I’m afraid that plan was cut short. But I’m glad…[Read more]

I am. All my stories will be related to the theme ‘Cuba’ in some way. At least, that’s the plan. I expect it will start to get hard mid-way. My goal is to see if among these short stories I can create a nugget that will be worthy of growing into a full novel. I want my next novel to take place in Cuba but I have no idea what the story should be…[Read more]

My theme was death. I wrote stories that had something to do with death (either personified, or the simple fact of nature. Some of them became far more metaphorical in nature than the simple idea of death.

Was it worth it? It certainly helps keep one on track. When you have a theme, you have less of a chance to not know what to write. Of course,…[Read more]

I visited Cuba for the first time in March and was taken by the people, the history, and particularly, all the contradictions in the culture. The dream of socialism, fifty years after the US was kicked out, is not so dreamy. And despite its communist suit, it’s underwear is heavily capitalist in nature. So much to learn and wonder at. And…[Read more]
