A scheduled rewrite day. Instead of rewriting anything, I worked on handouts for the science fiction convention this weekend. I’ll be on panels about ebooks and epublishing, and extreme writing challenges. I also started putting together a program we’ll pass out for the filk concert I’ll be singing in. It contains all the words of the songs we’ll be singing, as well as information about the local filk group.
The writer guest of honor for the convention is Tamora Pierce. I’ve heard her speak and been to her book signing before. She’s plain spoken and down to earth. She writes mostly YA books with strong female protagonists. Since I enjoy reading YA fantasy, I’ve read all her books (except the latest, which we own but I haven’t had time to read). Very enjoyable books–I highly recommend them.
