Finally he had arrived at a decision. For past one week, since he became the King of this Novicland, he was trying to resolve this issue. After all, how could he impress his people when he is delaying his first case?
For a week, he had deliberated this issue day and night . But the discontentment was growing. Soon they would lose their enthusiasm and faith in him as King. But it was not his fault. Being transported magically into the worlds of Gods for a mere human was bewildering. Being transported as the King of these Gods was frightening. One wrong step and he would be blown away by the power of these Gods. A simple fight between two brothers. The issue was not difficult. The Summer and Winter Prince were brothers. They had been living here for many years. Now, they wanted separate authority. But the land could not exist without either of them. And they did not want to co-exist. He needed to find the solution for this perplexing issue. He still did not understand the vagaries of Summer and Winter in this Novicland. Sometimes, he had seen eight moons along with three suns, each shining together.
So, today he had decided to given half the land to the each of the prince and they would swap their areas after sometime as a guest. He had decided to give Northern land to Summer and Southern land to the Winters. After six months, the Summer prince would travel to the Southern land and the Winter prince would travel to Northern land.
He had decided but he was afraid. His decision was not based on this land whose vagaries he still did not understand. He had decided what he had seen on earth. He just hoped he was not starting a revolution here. He just hoped his mind helped him showing the way.
With a heavy sigh, he sat on the carpet to go for his nightly visit. HE still had the northern land to visit and understand. And many tomes were sill waiting in the library. He wished why did not the day length changed? Why the day still had twenty-four hours? If the number of hours increased, may be, just may be he would be able to become a better King.
