Disclosures
As an affiliate, it’s a legal requirement that you disclose that relationship every time you tell people about a promotion.
It can be as simple as saying “I am an affiliate/part of a referral program for StoryADay which means that, if you make a purchase I may receive compensation”
A more human-friendly version is, “My friend Julie has asked me to tell you about this and, because I really believe it in it I am sending this message. You should know that, if you do join, I’ll receive a small reward to say ‘thanks’, but you know I would never recommend it just because of that.”

My friend Julie Duffy is a writer who specializes in building community for writers. And she is opening up her Superstars group again this week for anyone who wants to spend the next six months (or more) building a solid writing practice..
There are regular writing dates, hangouts and workshops, as well as a super-supportive text group in a Slack workspace (just us! No outside social media nonsense!)

About Julie Duffy
Julie Duffy founded the award-winning StoryADay.org creative writing challenge and community in 2010. She has written for Writer’s Digest, Writer’s Journal, Flash Fiction Online and is a columnist for WriterUnboxed.com. Her fiction has appeared in print anthologies and online.
Originally from Scotland, she lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and two children.
About the I, WRITER Course
- A structured 6-module pathway through workshops designed to get you writing and increase your skills.
- Bite-sized portions with exercises you can complete at your own pace.
- A dedicated online portal, with videos and transcripts and worksheets and assignments that you can complete at your own pace, but I won’t overload you, because I want to make sure you have plenty of time to write each week’s assigned stories.
- 2 short story assignments a week – pick one or do both.
You’ll write have 11 optional story assignments, five of which will be very short, five of which will be longer, and the final story, that brings together everything you’ve learned.
