* Begin a book on Memoir / Start outline for a book
THANKS
I did not make my goals for last month-outline of novel idea ready in preparation for online class on writing a novel.
However, today I printed a fresh copy of the Short Story Framework and wrote my story idea for a novel I’d probably have fun writing, one that would give readers the elements I want included in my story brand: I want a Mizula story to be funny and deadly.
.. I’m interested in your story .. one that is funny and deadly! Sounds like an interesting read!
I am sticking with my 10K goal, and hopefully will surpass that. Also still hoping to plot my novel this month.
Best of luck to everyone!
I plan to write a poem each day for the month of April.
Poems are a lot of fun to write. Hope it goes splendidly for you!
I’m new on this site. I’m making a very small time goal so that I will be more likely to keep it and establish a habit of daily writing. Friendly accountability helps me. (I have a long history of failed achievement goals.) For April I plan to work on my book 2 revision for a minimum of 15 minutes/day 5-6 days/wk.
Great goals. I have recently discovered how nice it is to set achievable goals after years of setting ones so high I could never actually make them!
I accomplished my goal to finish the I,WRITER course and submitted one story. The second half of the month I was not able to go over the lessons and assignments as much as I hoped to. My April goals are to submit three short stories, read more short stories, write four short stories and get ready for Story A Day May.
Hey – great to read what you’re doing. You go Gabriele! All the best for your writing and submittals. I’m going to dive into the Story a Day May too …. Looking forward to trying the new format.
Last month’s goal was to write two times a week for at least 15 minutes each. There was only one week where I didn’t get two sessions in but I’m still calling it a win!
This month, I’m keeping the same goal and adding on that I read one chapter from Writing Down The Bones every night.
Write some words each day this month, even if only Sparks.
Write for one hour+ at least two days each week.
Let my inner Storyteller out to play, with or without words on paper.
I love these goals!!
Hello I am new, I did reach my goal last month which is to work on my script. My goal this month is to have it finished.
Welcome! And congrats!
Good luck for this month.
I always envy script writers because the form is so defined (as if that somehow makes it easier. Ha! I’m sure it doesn’t…)
Good luck on your script! I hope to try my hand at that too someday! For now sticking to my goal of writing a novel and finishing up short stories.
Hello Myiesha fellow writer. Are you writing for screen or stage? All the best for the month’s goal. It’s exciting to hear.
I’m completing a stageplay at the moment (had an audience for acts 1 and 2 on Saturday) I’ve done a little screenplay writing and training. I enjoy it.
I’ll be looking to hear more about what you’re up to and how it’s going.
Yeah! I completed my MARCH goals. It feels good.
APRIL 2022 GOALS.
Continue reading more books.(I’m enjoying this.)
Continue writing regular story sparks.(I love doing these!!)
Write the next chapter of my novel.
Write a further chapter in outline.
Read my WRITERS FORUM magazine and do some of the exercises.
Highest of high-fives!
Hi. I’m new here, though I’ve been using the Storyaday website for a while now. My goals for April are to finish two short stories so I can share them with my family, and to write “one on the ones” five days a week (write for one hour either at 11:00 or 1:00 depending on the day’s schedule).
Amanda – thanks for sharing your plan about 5 days a week and what hours. It reminds me I could benefit from setting specific times.
