Post Your Goals, Join the Movement

StoryADay participant Badge

This is it! One day to go.

Today’s task: Post your StoryADay Challenge goals somewhere you’ll see them — in your journal, on your fridge, and share them with us in the comments, here.

Make them visible. Make them real.

And if you’re ready to go beyond just a month of stories…

Join us in the StoryADay Superstars Group open now, for:

  • Daily support & writing dates during May
  • Craft and mindset workshops, on-demand
  • Community accountability and support
  • Two Critique Week opportunities
  • And five more months of structure, support, and growth

Sign up today and write with confidence — not just in May, but all year long.

Let’s be honest: You could try to do it alone — again. But what if this was the year you stopped spinning your wheels and finally gained real traction in your writing life?

Superstars isn’t magic. But it does work.

  1. So excited to get rolling. My goal is to start a new prompt every day and hopefully finish them as well. Last year I managed to complete 28 out of 31.

  2. I want to:
    1. Be open to new ideas that make me think outside of “my” box.
    2. If the prompt of the day doesn’t spark any new ideas, work on another project.
    3. Have fun and enjoy the challenge.
    4. Post as often as possible.

  3. My goal is just so basic.
I’d love to have a goal to be proud of, but what I’m going for this May is to get a place set up where I can write with some focus.
I’ll look for the daily prompts to inspire me to write something daily, but completing this project is meant to make those session ever so much easier to accomplish.
I hope you find my goal acceptable as it’s focus is not on the actual writing. More on the basic groundwork.

  4. I plan to do as many of the prompts as I can, while I also attend a daily writing workshop, and read The Artist’s way. Let my writing focused month begin! I have been grabbing the prompts for story a day for a couple of years now, so I am ready to fully immerse myself in my writing life for a while. Going to be so busy, but looking forward to it!

  5. My main goal this year is to enjoy the prompts, learn from them, let them shake loose some ideas. Write something different from my usual.

I expect to have less time available this year than in the past, so I’m setting the modest goal of completing three stories each week. I’ll do more as much as I can.

  6. Let me just try to have 3 goals for StoryADay, 2025.
    1. To write the prompt-based, quality story everyday.
    2. To provide honest feedback to some of the stories written by other friends, and
    3. To have some of my stories published in a collection by the end of the year, provided I have Julie Duffe’s consent.
Here is looking forward to the Challenge and wishing all other participants the best of luck and success.
