  1. I will write up feature article for BWW; Launch my website/blog; and submit reading week story. (First two were October goals, but there’s only so much you can do, and they are big.)

  2. Drawlloween: 10/1-10/31–I did… 2. Whoops.

    FIAB: 11/5
    SOD: 11/5

    YGOME: 11/20
    HS: 11/23

I’m also going to be trying to work through the Flash Novel course, and some other online classes.

Phew, that’s a lot in one month. All of my words this month will be going toward NaNo, because I’m a rebel. On the plus side, I’m also close to reaching my word count goal for the year this month.

  3. Hi, I keep telling myself I must write more but it always seems to take second place to various crafty things I do. Now I am trying to do 1000 words a day for ten days of this month, November. I managed 2×1000 last month which was two more then the previous month so that’s a positive. We will see how I get on.

    1. I totally understand that. Crafty things are less risky. They’re ‘just for fun’, right?

I can strum a guitar (self-taught) in front of anyone but get really nervous playing piano with an audience because I took lessons for 10 years and so I ought to be ‘good’ (which, thanks to those years of lessons, means I’m conditioned to stop and correct myself whenever I make a mistake, instead of just focusing on playing!).

What can we do to make writing more like play, I wonder?

  4. Hi Julie, I’m afraid I’m an infrequent visitor these days but the writing continues. Two Honourable mentions in the last month, both from Globe Soup competitions!
Anyway, this month I’m doing Flash Nano!

  5. I am participating in a Flash Nano challenge, so my goal is to write 30 flash pieces or the start of a longer piece by the end of the month.

  6. My goal for last month was to write 4 new poems and finish my newsletter for November. I wrote 3 new poems and got the newsletter done. I also wrote an article for my Substack page and a new blog for my website. This month’s goals are to write 4 new poems, finish the newsletter for December, and write a new blog for my website. If I manage to get all that done, I will be happy. I just have to keep myself from going down other rabbit holes.
