  1. Hello everyone,

My September goal is to revise two short stories to completion and write ten poems, then submit them for publication.
    Current progress:
    Poems: 2/10
    Completed Short stories: 0/2

In August, I wrote one short story, nine poems and two songs. Sent out the short story for publication.

My overall journey is to get more work completed and sent out for publication. I’ve been writing for many years, but I’ve hardly submitted them anywhere. Am learning to just be brave and release my “babies” out into the world!

    Best of luck to everyone!

    Lori

  2. My goal for August was smashed beyond what I had set for myself. Even with everything chaotic that was thrown at me. I wrote a total of five short stories. Goal was four and ended with five. I’m very happy with myself on my first month of my personal Ray Bradbury 52 short stories 52 weeks challenge. Which I began on July 25th, 2022. So, I have in fact completed six weeks’ worth of short stories.
My goal for September another set of short stories and see where I end up on that.

  3. Let’s take a look at last month:
~Commission 1: REALLY need to work on.–NO GO
    ~Commission 2: Need to outline.–NO GO
    ~BDX: A. 8–See above–DONE
    ~AUX: A. 27–Still to do–DONEx2 (picked up a pinch hit)
    ~IFIF: A. 28–Still to do–DONE
    ~P4P: S. 10–Hopefully will get to.–NO GO

    So, September.

September is always a stupidly busy time for me because, it’s Birth-month, woo!! *party favor noises*
And I always overbook myself this month. So, naturally, I’m doing it again.

U Comm. 1: Due this month
U Comm. 2: Due this month?
DG Comm. 4: Due this month???
    P4P: Due 9/10
    IIBB: Due 9/16?
    YF: Due 9/24

Plus, I’m doing Nancy Stohlman’s Flash Novel workshop, and I just joined Sarah Selecky’s Centered group. Plus, I’m trying to do some daily writing and….

I think I need to lie down.

  4. Going to continue to write every day, like I did in August. Going to push to finish more stories, and start submitting them.

  5. This is all new to me, but writing stories has been a long time dream. My goal for September is to write every day. That’s it, I’ll be happy if I finish one or two stories! I love the idea of writing without needing to get it perfect. 🤞

  6. Hi! It’s been a while since I’ve posted here but I missed you all and the accountability! 🙂
    BIG September Goals:
    – Finish reading my manuscript (again) for my book about exploring your past, present and future.
    – Complete all the activities in my book as if reading it for the first time so I can identify further revisions and worksheet edits before handing it off to an editor.
    – Hand off my manuscript to an editor so I have a shot at self-publishing before the end of this year!

  7. August goals – two hours a week writing ended up looking like 20-25 minutes per day but I’m celebrating the consistency and learning how to write productively in smaller cracks of time. Website theme update and blog post will slide to September, and our local writers group meetings resume (as soon as I schedule the dates). We have a couple new people interested in the group, so I’m hoping to connect with them too. I have one short story in the works, and hubby caught a 135# halibut when we went to Alaska in Aug so I’m sure there’s a story inspiration there – maybe I’ll take a stab at The Old Man and the Sea. 🙂 Happy writing, everyone!

  8. Hello!

    August accomplishments:
    – Published a new meditation.
    – Worked on my memoir.
    – Created a video to advertise my meditations (it didn’t really have any impact but I did it!)
    – Bonus: I participated in an online writing retreat.

    September goals:
    – Publish a new meditation.
    – Work on my memoir.
    – Experiment with creative essays.
    – Work on a new website.

    Happy writing, everyone!
