I’m still writing again this challenge Julie! Many of my Outlines I wrote in May have excited me into expanding them into stories which I shall enter in competitions.
This story from this same prompt in May has screamed ‘finish me’ ! So I’ve worked on it today. I have now written 785 words in my first draft. I’m very encouraged by how it’s going.
That’s so great to hear!
A young man has been sleeping rough in the area for more than a year. Tolerated by everyone and watched over by several locals and given odd jobs. Covid happened and social workers picked him up each night to go to a homeless shelter. The experience terrified him. He felt vulnerable and exposed to abuse and infection from other residents. The local vicar breaks the rules to help him. Consequences followed with surprising twists, turns and outcomes.
Research needed but it should make a good story. Only a skeleton story at present.
So proud of you, Wendy! You’re still writing!
Written a short piece about whether my mc felt it better in a cooped up hostel, or out in the fresh air, with less chance of getting ill.
