  1. Hello! Nothing like being several days late and quite a few dollars short, but WHATEVER, NEW MONTH IT IS!

    July’s goals:
    ~UF: July 9th–Finished!
    ~JM 1: August 7–Finished!
    ~JM 2: August 7–Dropped.
    ~BDX: August 8–Writing WRITE NAO!!!
    ~AUX: August 27–Still to do

    August’s goals:
~Commission 1: REALLY need to work on.
    ~Commission 2: Need to outline.
    ~BDX: A. 8–See above
    ~AUX: A. 27–Still to do
    ~IFIF: A. 28–Still to do
    ~P4P: S. 10–Hopefully will get to.

  2. I tried doing nanowrimo. Only got about 10kish. I did complete a short story and started of my Ray Bradbury 52 stories in 52 weeks. I have two done so far and up on my blog. Goal this month is to have 4 short stories done.

  3. I haven’t posted here in so long but just reading everyone’s goals is so inspiring!!

I have a lot of non-writing going on this month so the only writing goal I have is to write a 6 word story every day. If I can write more than that it will be a bonus.

Otherwise, I plan to collect some of them as story sparks.

    Happy writing!

  4. I’m just starting so I don’t have a prior month of accountability. But I hope to write everyday something to get back on track.

  5. Scored an “F” for work done since Winter’s Story Workshop but starting 1 August I will:
    – read all the journals that will form the basis of my memoir and, also capture 75 in total images or experiences from my ordeal that are worth writing about, from the journals or elsewhere.

      1. Ha! Such a great question. After reading some of these stories, and aiming to put them in chronological order I was then awake til 2:30 am and was definitely triggered. I did find that the source materials for up to 75 key events/points will be relatively easily found in the records, but that much of this time needs to be spent in developing and adhering to a self-care strategy. There are reasons I have tried 3 times before. Thank you, Julie,.

    1. Yes! I think I got to a close approximation of my Aug 1 goals. And sidetracked by the arrival of my refugee family. Am proud and happy.

  6. Hello fellow writers!

    Meeting Last month’s goals —
Made progress on Linked in Profile
Made progress on Act 2 of the play
    Celebrated my daily goal wins!
(I did a lot of reading and a little more research on memoir.)

    August (how can it be!!)
Complete the Linked in Profile and publish
Complete the editing of act 2
Complete ONE nature writing piece and submit to local news.

yea,,, that will do nicely! Completing act 2 will be the most challenging. But .. not impossible!

Have a great writing month everyone!

  7. Block out 2 hrs of writing time on my calendar for each week of the month.
Update website theme and publish one blog post.
Schedule a writing coffeeshop date with my local writers group from church.

Good luck and happy writing to all!

  8. I am just getting started. I have been writing here and there but not consistently.

    3 day challenge
write for 30 minutes everyday(subreddit prompts)
keep note book to catch ideas

  9. Hi! It’s my first time trying SWAGR but I’ll list my July accomplishments because *celebration*:

🌸 I wrote some pieces for my experimental memoir.
    🌸 I sent a submission to a magazine.
🌸 I wrote and edited two meditations and a blog post.

And these are my goals for August:

    🌸 Publish a new meditation.
🌸 Continue working on my memoir.
🌸 Create a video to advertise my meditations.

  10. Last month I managed to finalise a basic outline of my plot in my first month of planning my new novel. This month I hope to fill in most of the details to complete my plot.
I also hope to have written up all my notes on my antagonist and/or my protagonist as a minimum.
