The Prompt
“Loretta’s face was hidden by the wide brimmed hat boldly covered in ribbons and one rose. Rising slowly from the fourth pew, she raised her chin towards the minister and declared, “I object.”

What a thought provoking prompt! My imagination ran wild……terrific fun! Almost 2000 words.
I ended up liking this one more than I thought I would, despite resorting to an overused trope to get the job done.

I have been trying to catch up to Story A Day this year after missing the last four ones or so! And I finally did it today! Woohoo! *jumps for self*
So proud of my sketches, mostly because I was able to get them done despite crazy circumstances. 😀

I wrote OBJECTION today. It’s a story about an old lady shouting “I object!” at a wedding rehearsal. Her son is the Minister in charge. He lets her shout “I object” every time he says the line “Speak now or forever hold your peace.” The wedding couple are very nervous but he tells them not to worry. After the wedding is over, he takes his mom back to the hospice. She thanks him for helping her to work through her bucket list. Shouting “I object!” is the last item on the list. When he asks her about the plans for tomorrow, she replies she just wants to sleep in.
This was an unexpected twist in the story for me.
Love this!
LOL I love this idea! Sounds like a fun story.
Thanks for sharing
YAY Leslie!
My character is not nice in my story – ALWAYS fun to write characters that are villains.

I was up early again and drafted on the computer instead of the notebook. The words were coming too fast.
There is a lot open in this story but I wrote it that way on purpose so the reader has to fill in the blanks. Today it added to the mystery.
